This single cask expression from Mortlach distillery in Speyside was distilled in May 2007 and matured in a refill hogshead for 10 years before bottling in May 2017. Only 246 bottles have been produced by Hunter Laing & Co for the Old Malt Cask series, each one at a strength of 50% abv.

Nose: Caramel, chocolate and dried ham.
Palate: Smooth with coffee, dried fruits and milk chocolate.
Finish: Long with lingering oak.
Distillery Information
Mortlach distillery is a distiller of Scotch whisky in Dufftown, Moray, Scotland. Founded in 1823, the distillery is currently owned by Diageo. The whisky is a key component in several Johnnie Walker bottlings., while Diageo also markets four Mortlach single malts. The still pictured above is Dufftown distillery.
