Ole Smoky Peanut Butter Whiskey

Based in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the Ole Smoky made history in 2010 when it became the first federally-licensed distillery to operate out of East Tennessee. Rather than go into the lucrative whiskey business, however, the distillery opted to pay tribute to the state’s local moonshiners by keeping their legacy alive for modern drinkers to experience and enjoy. After achieving success with their moonshines, the distillery decided to reconsider their decision to forgo whiskey production and, not long after, launched their own line whiskey offerings. One of the most recent additions to their whiskey portfolio is the Ole Smoky Peanut Butter Whiskey. Distilled from a proprietary mash bill, the whiskey spends its maturation in American white oak barrels, after which, it is then infused with flavor before being finally brought to proof and bottled.

Ole Smoky Peanut Butter Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: On the nose, this whiskey imparts a rich aroma of peanut butter.

Palate: Peanut butter continues well into the palate where it is joined by notes of vanilla, brown sugar, corn, and oak.

Finish: A sweet and gratifying finish.

Distillery Information

When Tennessee state law changed to allow the distillation of spirits, we saw an opportunity to showcase the art of superior mountain-made moonshine. Ole Smoky is the first federally licensed distillery in the history of East Tennessee.
