It's batch number seven of the ever wonderful Penny Blue XO rum from the historic Medine Distillery in Mauritius! For each batch, master blenders Doug McIvor and Jean Francois Koenig hand select the perfect casks for blending – this batch includes rums matured in whisky, Cognac, and sherry casks, for a wonderfully complex sipper.
Penny Blue XO - Batch #007 Rum | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet demerara sugar, tropical fruits, and candied orange.
Palate: Floral, syrupy honey with spicy oak, prunes and wafts of vanilla.
Finish: Finish is smooth and long.
