The Last Drop Distilled in 1982 Straight Bourbon Whiskey

With only 44 bottles in existence, the launch of this extraordinary discovery is the latest addition to The Last Drop Distillers’ already exceptional roster of rare spirits. The unique whiskey, distilled nearly four decades ago, is the very last of this Bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery. At its peak, it was removed from the American oak barrels in order to avoid over-ageing and to preserve its beautiful constitution that gracefully defies its years.

Nose: Exquisite, rich toffee-like, honeyed vanilla, and candied ripe fruits with undertones of oak.

Palate: Sophisticated with an extraordinary richness and butteriness with layers of apple, pecans, ripened pear, dark Belgian chocolate, caramel and a kiss of black cherries.

Finish: Dried dark fruit and delightful lingering oak.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is a distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, that is owned by the Sazerac Company. It has historically been known by several names, including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fire Copper Distillery.
