This is a rare bottling of Macallan single malt Scotch whisky which was distilled in 1950 and bottled during the early 1980s. From the handwritten label, we can see that it was bottled for Atkinson Baldwin & Co. A red ribbon adorns this highly collectible vintage bottle, presented with a charming wooden presentation case.

Nose: Rich citrus lemon with peat smoke.Forward floral character almost perfume to the fore.
Palate: Lemony and peaty, hints of spice and wood.
Finish: Lemons and smoky peat notes with light wood.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
