Established in 1878 the picturesque Glenrothes Distillery is in the small town of Rothes, home to five Distilleries. This fine Speyside Malt has been the main component, in Berry Brothers & Rudd Cutty Sark Blend since 1920. Alexander Murray & Co brings you this rare bottling of Glenrothes. Distilled in 1993 spending 22 years in Oak Casks.
Alexander Murray Glenrothes 22 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Golden in color with hints of toffee apples and vanilla bean ice cream on the nose.
Palate: On the palate it has a lovely cinnamon spice flavor.
Finish: Long delicious vanilla and golden syrup finish.
Distillery Information
The Glenrothes distillery was established in 1878, with production commencing in December of the following year, on the same day as the infamous Tay Bridge disaster.
