Benriach Cask Strength Batch 1 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

This is the first release in the BenRiach Cask Strength collection, bottled at a brawny 57.2% ABV. It launched in March 2016 after the success of GlenDronach's Cask Strength expressions, its sister distillery. A part of the distillery's core range, this Speyside single malt carries no age statement and was bottled without chill-filtering or added color.

Benriach Cask Strength Batch 1 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet toasted oak spices are interwoven with roasted orchard fruits and dusted with cracked barley. Black vanilla pods, desiccated coconut and a gentle floral note add complexity to the ripe, fruit-laden nose.

Palate: Creamy heather honey pours over a medley of apples, pears and apricots. Subtle notes of candied peel and fresh ginger give a delicate warmth.

Finish: A classic combination of vanilla, toasted coconut and sweet barley make up a luscious, velvety finish.

Distillery Information

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
