Detailed Description
An exquisitely-packaged bottle of Benromach 1977, filled from a single hogshead that had lain untouched for 39 years. Only 225 bottles were created, each one packaged in a dark oak box reminiscent of the wooden washbacks used by the distillery before it closed in 1983. Also accompanying the bottle is a hardback book, which guides you through the history of the distillery – and some of its most notable characters.

Nose: Sweet honey and apricot, orange zest and butterscotch.
Palate: A touch of pepper and ripe bananas with citrus and dried tobacco undertones.
Finish: Toasted oak and fresh menthol.

Benromach is a Speyside distillery founded by Duncan McCallum and F.W. Brickman in 1898 and currently owned and run by Gordon and Macphail of Elgin. It is situated near Forres in Morayshire and is fed with spring water from the Chapelton Springs in the Romach Hills beside
