Mixed Blood is a blend of Du Nord's Longfellow high-rye straight bourbon and a selection of sourced whiskeys chosen for their ability to compliment the spice and smoke of the high-rye mash.
Du Nord Mixed Blood Blended Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: The aroma settles into a deep, rich molasses.
Palate: The whiskey take an unsual dip into a non-citric, yellow-raisin sour character that reminds me of sherry, before reverting back into normal rye spice.
Finish: Finish is a tingly molasses sweetness.
