Glenfiddich 19 Year Old Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Age of Discovery Tasting Notes

Nose: Warm, crunchy toffee and deep citrus notes, marmalade on toast and a whiff of a fine old orange liqueur, are balanced by dry almost smoky notes of oak tannin.

Palate: Overall complex and layered, developing overtime, especially with the addition of a little water.

Distillery Information

In 1886, with the help of his seven sons and two daugh- ters, William Grant set out to fulfill a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his distillery by hand, and on Christmas Day of 1887, the first drop flowed from the copper stills. Today, unlike lesser malts, Glenfiddich re- mains independently owned by the fifth generation of the same pioneering family. Each generation is driven by both their forefather’s vision to craft the finest malt in Speyside and the legacy that they will bestow on future generations. This unique sense of familial duty, passion and pride forges a long-term commitment to creating truly great single malts “without compromise.”

Over 125 years later Glenfiddich honours that com- mitment as the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt*. This honour and achievement was built not only by the great people of Glenfiddich, but by the long and fruit- ful collaboration between Scotland and America. For many years casks used for maturing American whiskey, were shipped down the Mississippi River and across the sea to Scotland, where they are used to mature Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky.
