This particular expression was distilled in June 1966 at what is probably Speyside's finest distillery, before maturing for half a century in a sherry butt. Bottled in November 2016 at a strength of 51.1% abv, only 39 have been produced. Each bottle is presented in a brown leather box, embossed with gold metallic text, and are individually wax sealed.
Distillery Information
A Hunter Laing bottling of 50 year old single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed distillery (though Hunter Laing think quite highly of it - they call it Probably Speyside's Finest Distillery). It was aged in a single Sherry butt from June 1964 to November 2014, and bottled at cask strength (an impressive 40.2%) with an outturn of 88 bottles.
