The Exceptional Grain Third Edition Sutcliffe & Son Blended Grain Scotch Whisky

The Exceptional Grain from Sutcliffe & Son is a blend from five distilleries: North British, Strathclyde, Cameronbridge, Loch Lomond and a parcel of 30-year-old whisky from closed Carsebridge. Finished in first-fill sherry casks, this is rich and nutty with notes of vanilla and milk chocolate, too.

Nose: Full-bodied aroma.

Palate: There is a much greater presence of peat in the taste than the nose suggests. The smokiness quickly hits the palate and then tapers off.

Finish: Light and elegant as it ends, the last hint of smoke slowly fading out.
