Tormore 12 Year Old 2010 Cask #801185 Middle Cut Dramfool Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

A classic Speysider here from the picturesque Tormore Distillery, filled on 3 November 2010 into a single bourbon barrel (#801185) and then aged for 12 years. It was bottled on 27 July 2023 at 61.5% ABV with an outturn of 168 bottles.

Nose: "Unmistakably Speyside with the malty oaky vanilla notes working in harmony with the crispy sweet cereal aromas."

Palate: "The cereal sweetness works well with the charred oak staves to produce a taste that is full of character. Fruity hints created by the yeast during the fermentation process work brilliantly with the oaky foundation. Fresh & vibrant with a viscosity that completely seduces the tastebuds."

Finish: "The finish is silky smooth, long in tenure and quality."

Distillery Information

Construction began in 1959 (Tormore began to distil in 1961) to the design of Sir Albert Richardson, then president of the Royal Academy. At that time Tormore was part of Long John Distillers and its make was used mostly in the firm's eponymous blends that were major sellers in North America.
