This fabulous single grain whiskey comes from the stills of the Invergordon Distillery, founded in 1959 in the Scottish Highlands, where it was poured into barrel number D520002 in January 1990. Bottled by the well-known company Duncan Taylor, this dark wine was allowed to mature in an ex sherry barrel for over 28 years, which gives it it's deep dark color.

Nose: Soft blackberry and raisin, balanced by praline and cinnamon gum.
Palate: Waxy peels, more blackberry, icing sugar, slightly buttery.
Finish: Medium length, with a whisper of oak growing behind the fruity grain.
Distillery Information
Invergordon is a fairly new distillery, having only been founded in 1960, with the intention of being a large-scale grain whisky production. Invergordon Distillers Ltd established the distillery, and it began with only one tall column still. In 1963, two more column stills were added, and in 1978, a final, much larger one was added.
