Producer Information
Winery is around since 19th century when one of first Zinfandel clones was planted in Napa and this winery was part o fit. Owner and winemaker Mike Hendry sets begininng of winery on 1992. Mike grows 11 different grape varieties in sub-region Oak Knoll (south west of Napa Valley), mostly Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir a Chardonnay. Mike´s attitude about wine growing is very green and wise, he knows that if he wants develop old vines, they need space and not to be overhelmed so he keeps low harvest on hectar. For example Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are located in cool climate of Carneros while Zinfandel and Caberenet benefits from warm weather on norht border of Oak Knoll. With her wife Molly, they produced one of the best Zinfandels in California from vineyard R.W. Moore, which was planted in 1905 and produce amazing spicy, but soft and komplex wines.
