      Detailed Description

This is a spectacular example of this dry, sous voile aged wine made from both ripe and botrytized grapes altogether. It's reminiscent of Fino sherry, though not fortified, and with a much prettier profile, including golden fruit and honeysuckle aromatics.

      Producer Information

Samuel Tinon was born in Bordeaux into a family of wine producers. Study oenology and viticulture in Montpellier. After traveling extensively and gaining vast experience in the sector, he arrived in the Tokaj region, Hungary, in 1991. In 2000 he put his first wines on the market. The Tokaj region is famous for its quality wine production. The wines of the area were among the first in the world to obtain the controlled designation of origin. Samuel Tinon's vineyards are located within the vast Hungarian plain, near the villages of Határi Cru and Olaszliszka. They are exposed to the sun and with a slight slope. The soil is clayey, fertile, rich in tuff and limestone. Favorable climatic conditions allow for late harvesting. The grapes are picked at the ideal moment of ripeness to obtain an intense and full-bodied wine. Samuel knows the region's terroir like the back of his hand and knows how to work it best. Native white grapes such as the Furmint vine, a grape with a marked acidity, are planted in its lands. In a small part, the Hárslevelü grape variety is also cultivated, ideal for making dry, soft and aromatic white wines. The production of wine takes place in an artisanal and as natural way as possible in full respect of the territory.
