        Producer Information

Francois et Antoine Jobard is a Burgundian wine producer located in Meursault. Jobard is known for its age-worthy, mineral-driven Chardonnay as well as an impressive lineup of premier cru white Burgundies. The family estate is dedicated almost completely to Chardonnay from the Meursault region, with some regional Bourgogne Blanc and Bourgogne Aligoté bottlings. It was established in 1860 as Domaine Francois Jobard and is currently managed by fifth-generation Antoine Jobard. The domaine's land covers roughly 6 hectares (15 acres) spread throughout the appellations of Meursault, Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet. Vineyard soils are composed of clay and limestone with planted vines averaging some 35 years old. Jobard has sites in a range of premier cru vineyards, including Meursault Poruzots, Meursault-Blagny, Meursault Genevrières, Meursault Charmes, Saint-Aubin Les Perrières, and Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs-Gains. After a handpick in the vineyard, grapes are pressed to barrel without any juice settling. Both primary fermentation with indigenous yeast and malolactic fermentations take place in barrel, the portion of which is new is vintage dependent. The domaine does not practice batonnage and bottles without fining or filteration.
