      Reviews:

      • Wine Advocate: All of Concha y Toro's Carmenere comes from Peumo, the classical zone for the grape in Cachapoal, from which they produced the impressive 2019 Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere, a wine that has improved tremendously in the last few years, controlling the ripeness and oaking. It's expressive and varietal, spicy and open, more subtle than the Gran Reserva but not as deep as the Terrunyo.
      • James Suckling: Redcurrant, bell pepper, chili and tobacco on the nose. Full body with smooth tannins. Structured, yet juicy and playful in the mouth. Polished and creamy with pretty vanilla notes. Fresh and flavorful finish with good length.

              Producer Information

Marques de Casa Concha is a Chilean winery and premium brand of the largest South American producer and distributor, Concha y Toro. Casa Concha is known for single-vineyard, estate-bottled wines from different appellations throughout the country, the most prominent being a Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto. The brand was launched in 1976 by Concha y Toro, itself a historic winery founded in 1883 by the Marquis Melchor de Concha y Toro. The 1972 Cabernet Sauvignon from Puente Alto was the first wine released under the Marques de Casa Concha label and has continued to be the range's flagship. It has been received well by critics, especially vintages from the early 2000s onwards. In the late 1980s, new varieties were introduced to the range beginning with a Chardonnay and a Merlot. Marques de Casa Concha sources the grapes for each wine from different DOs with the stated goal of expressing the differences in the various Chilean viticultural regions.
