Belvedere Single Estate Rye - Lake Bartezek Plain Vodka

In late 2017, the brand launched its Single Estate series to showcase the various terroir of the Polish rye they use to craft their exquisite vodkas. Among them is the Belvedere Lake Bartezek Single Estate Rye Vodka, an expression made exclusively from Polish Dankowskie Diamond rye grown on the shores of Lake Bartezek in northeast Poland where the long freezing winters that impart the resulting vodka with a unique glacial freshness. After harvest, the rye is turned to mash and distilled in an agricultural distillery after which it is then shipped to Belvedere to be distilled three more times to create a smooth and creamy vodka expression that is then brought to proof using pure Polish water before being packaged in a lovely bottle featuring an image of the Polish presidential palace.

Nose: Each sip of this crystal-clear vodka greets you with delicate aromas of peppermint, spearmint, and wildflowers.

Palate: A crisp palate of toasted macadamias, rye bread, blanched almonds, oatcake, white pepper, and sour cream.

Finish: A refreshing menthol finish.

Distillery Information

The Polmos Zyrardów distillery lies at the edge of the Mazovian Plain (Nizina Mazowiecka), a vast flat region west of Warsaw where the Dankowskie Zlote or ‘Gold’ strain of rye has been cultivated and inter-crossed over the centuries to thrive in the fertile soil.
