A scarily good single grain from an undisclosed distillery in the Lowland region of Scotland. Independently bottled for the Whisky of Voodoo range, this expression spent 13 years maturing in ex-red wine barriques before bottling. The label is adorned with artwork in keeping with the occult theme, and there's even a clue about where this mystery malt might have been distilled.

Nose: Delicate hints of buttered sourdough, sawdust, with a touch of honeyed melon in tow.
Palate: Peach pastries and caramel wafers, a touch of praline arrives, with rich, honeyed malt and oaken vanilla.
Finish: Creamy almond and butterscotch wrap things up, with white chocolate and soft, mellow spice.

Brave New Spirits is a Glasgow-based independent bottler and blender of Scotch whisky, single malts, and blends. From interesting bottlings for the Voodoo series sourced from unnamed distilleries to its collection of funky finishes and maturations from The Guerilla Casks, these are very cool whiskies that are worth checking out.
