This single cask whisky comes to us from renowned indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of The First Editions series. Distilled in 2008 at Dalmore in the Scottish Highlands, this single malt has been matured for 11 years in a single refill hogshead before bottling in 2019 free from chill filtration and artificial colouring. Bottled at a preferred strength of 46% abv, this expression is limited to just 367 individually numbered bottles.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Chocolate orange and tea leaves.
Palate: Sweet with rich dried fruits, furniture polish and herbs.
Finish: Long and herbal with a waxy note.
Distillery Information
"The Dalmore" Distillery is located in Alness, which is 20 miles North of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the "big meadowland", from which it takes its name.
