Detailed Description
The Niepoort family has been making port in Portugal's Douro Valley since 1842, while Dictador Colombian rum has a history that stretches back to 1913. The two came together to create this remarkable rum, with Dictador master blender Hernan Parra combining a medley of vintages from 1971, 1974, 1978, and 1980, and finishing them in casks that once held Port selected by fifth-generation master blender Dirk Niepoort.

Nose: Red cherries and dark chocolate combine with rich leather, polished oak and walnut shells. Also a hint of cola, cardamom and some nutmeg.
Palate: Dark chocolate, coconut shells, new leather and aged cigar tobacco with hints of bitter orange and fennel, fading into plum and fig.
Finish: Liquorice and leather, with blood orange.
