Laphroaig 18yo was introduced in 2009 as a replacement for the old 15 Year Old (Prince Charles' sorely missed favourite whisky, lest we forget). This is a stronger, altogether gutsier affair at 48%.

Nose: Soft, sweet and spicy Islay peat smoke greets.

Palate: Slightly salty tang that compliments notes of oaky sweetness, dried citrus and peat.

Finish: Gorgeous finish.

Laphroaig distillery is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky distillery. It is named for the area of land at the head of Loch Laphroaig on the south coast of the Isle of Islay.
