The mettermalt whiskey consists of pure regional rye, which was ground with millstones in the in-house Fessler mill, which is over 627 years old, according to old craftsmanship on the shot mill from 1870. The distillate then matured for 6 years in an ex-Islay cask from the Laphroaig distillery in the distillery's warehouse.
