Shibui Single Grain 30 Year is distilled in Okinawa in stainless steel pot stills from Indicia rice and Okinawan black koji. The whisky is matured for 30 years in three types of casks: ex-bourbon, sherry, and European virgin white oak.
Shibui 30 Year Old Single Grain Japanese Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Cinnamon topped peaches and cream, earl grey tea with softer notes of chocolate and pecan.
Palate: Tropical fruit, raw honey and banana are met by bergamot and coconut.
Finish: A drying spiced oak finish that lasts and lasts and lasts.
