Springbank Batch 1 TBWC is a NAS Single Malt whisky from Scotland. Bottled in 2013 at 54.6% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Scotland Single Malt whisky lover. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, cask strength edition of Springbank. This is one of only 274 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.
Springbank Batch 1 TBWC Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bottled 2013 Tasting Notes
Nose: dry and oily, with flinty notes, lamp oil or graphite oil. Hints of dried algae and heather. Some paraffin. Very delicate hints of peat and smoke. Mouth: slightly sweeter, with some oranges and sweet lemon before it goes back to its Spartan side of ginger, grapefruit bitterness and briny notes. Again a bit of peat. Something of tequila too. In the end it goes back to a vague sweet fruitiness and honey. Finish: long, with licorice roots, salt and heather.
Distillery Information
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
