This single cask comes to us from family-run indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Specially selected and bottled for the Heritage series in the Platinum Old & Rare Selection, this expression was distilled at Tamdhu in Speyside in 1989. Matured for three full decades, it has been bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.4% abv free from all chill filtration and artificial colouring. Just 193 bottles have been produced of this limited edition.

Tamdhu 1989 30 Year Old Platinum Old & Rare Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark chocolate and rich berry compote. Notes of cordite, Serrano ham and roasted chestnuts.

Palate: Sherried and rich, notes of plum brandy, butterscotch, star anise and black pepper.

Finish: Medium-length with notes of aniseed, pepper and toasted barley.
