Nose: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, toasted oak, dried dark fruit, caramel, and baking spice.

Palate: Concentrated espresso, caramel, brown sugar, roasted malt, barrel char, cinnamon, and clove.

Finish: Extremely long and warming, with dark chocolate, oak tannin, roasted malt, dried fruit, and lingering spice.

Distillery Information

Westward Whiskey is produced in Portland, Oregon, by House Spirits and is built around a distinctly American approach to single malt. The distillery uses Northwest-grown and malted two-row barley, craft ale yeast, and custom copper pot stills to create a robust spirit. Westward matures its whiskey in new, lightly charred American oak and emphasizes slow maturation and the influence of Oregon’s climate. The American Hazmalt series showcases that house style at exceptionally high cask strength.
