El Fogonero Tequila is named for the "stoker," that is the worker who fires the agave to cook out the honey (miel) that is eventually distilled to make tequila. The brand was founded by the 3 grandsons of the retired tequila worker Don Antonio Yera in 1997. This is the extra anejo expression, which is aged for 4 years.
El Fogonero Extra Añejo Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Flowery, citrus fruit, caramel, chocolate and a little smoke.
Palate: Smooth, soft with a bit of spice, orange peel, caramel, butterscotch, earth accents and oak.
Finish: Quite long, with notes of black pepper and citrus.
