Bottled for the American market by Alexander Murray & Co., this Glenlivet 45 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky offers drinkers with a luxurious blend of sweet and savory flavors that can only be found in the rarest of single malts. Made from 100% malted Scottish barley, the whisky was distilled in 1968 and began its slow maturation in oak casks before being finally tapped almost half-a-century later to be brought to proof and bottled.

Nose: Deep amber in color, each sip of this Scotch yields a wonderful nose of ripe fruits, cream corn, vanilla, malt, tobacco, oak, and spice.

Palate: A rich and velvety palate of creamy malt, custard cream, orchard fruits, mocha, more vanilla, and a dash of smoke, culminating in medium finish of fruit, oak, and light smoke.

Finish: Smooth and lingering.

Distillery Information

The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since. The distillery remained open throughout the Great Depression and its only closure came during World War II. The Glenlivet distillery has grown in the post-war period to become one of the biggest single malt distilleries in order to keep up with global demand; The Glenlivet brand is the biggest selling single malt whisky in the United States and the second biggest selling single malt brand globally.
