Balvenie 15 Year Old Craftsman`s Reserve is a limited-edition, age-statement Speyside single malt whisky produced at the Balvenie Distillery in Dufftown Scotland. This 15-year-old Balvenie Reserve was distilled in 1996 and bottled from two refill Sherry butts (casks #10142 and #17949) specially selected by Malt Master David Stewart. A richly sherried Balvenie of which just 515 bottles were released.

Nose: Impressive and charming nose.

Palate: The palate is an explosion of delicate flavors, nice and delightful mouthfeel.

Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish.

Distillery Information

One of Speyside's most famous single malts, located in Dufftown and owned by William Grant and Sons. The distillery was founded in the late 1800s by William Grant, who worked at the Mortlach distillery nearby. Master Distiller David Stewart is credited with making Balvenie the powerhouse we know today. David worked at Balvenie for many decades and introduced many innovations that are now widespread across the industry including 'cask finishes' where whiskies are aged for a period in ex-Bourbon wood before being finished for a relative short period in a more active barrel.
