Detailed Description
Detailed Description
Glen Grant 27 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (A.D. Rattray Bottling) was distilled on December 31, 1985 and matured for nearly 10,000 days, or just over 27 years, in a used sherry cask that was hand-selected by Dennis Malcolm, one of just eight Glent Grant master distillers in the past 125 years. Malcolm, who began apprenticing at the distillery as a cooper when he was only 15 years old, has over five decades of experience distilling and maturing whisky. "We don't believe in rushing things at Glen Grant,"he says. "We allow nature to take its time to do its work."On January 7, 2013, the maturing, non-chill filtered whisky was bottled at cask strength.
