Glengoyne 1997 DL XOP - Xtra Old Particular is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Glengoyne distillery. It is a 19 year old expression, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016. This limited edition whisky has been matured in a combination of refill sherry and first-fill sherry casks, giving it a rich and full-bodied flavor profile. On the nose, this whisky has aromas of dried fruit, toffee, and hints of spice. On the palate, there are notes of sweet honey, dried fruit, spice, and a hint of smoky peat. The finish is long and smooth with a sweet, smoky finish.
