Glenmorangie 10 Year Old 150th Anniversary (1843-1993) Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Released in 1993, this older bottling of Glenmorangie 10 Year Old was produced in the distillery's sesquicentennial celebrating 150 years of distilling at the 'Highland Cathedral' as it's known. Bottled at 43% abv, it is presented with an old fashioned gift tin and the rear label notes the special occasion with an illustration by Mashman George Mackenzie.

Distillery Information

The Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843, on the Dornoch Firth by brothers William and John Matheson. The site originally held a farm distillery under the name Morangie. There is evidence that distillation was carried out at this site during the early 18th century. Production began in November of 1849. During the latter part of the 19th century Glenmorangie began overseas exportation and destinations included Europe and the United States.
