This single cask comes to us from family-run indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Specially selected and bottled for the Heritage series in the Platinum Old & Rare Selection, this expression was distilled at Glenrothes in Speyside in 1988. Matured for more than three decades, it has been bottled at a natural cask strength of 50.1% abv free from all chill filtration and artificial colouring. Just 109 bottles have been produced of this limited edition.

Nose: This dark gold whisky has heather honey, ripe fruits, nutmeg and a touch of liquorice on the nose.
Palate: Pleasant mint and eucalyptus on the palate along with rich stewed fruits, allspice and a sweet creaminess.
Finish: A long, fruity, slightly peppery finish.
Distillery Information
Glen Grant is situated just near Rothes, which is also the hometown of Glenrothes Whisky. The river Spey feeds the distillery.
James and John Grant, both brothers, founded the distillery in 1840. They were once in the business of illegal distilling. When they wanted to get on the legal side with a license they decided to start with Glen Grant.
