Joining the collection from independent bottler Chorlton Whisky, this single malt from Mannochmore spent 16 years maturing in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt. The cask yielded a total of 424 bottles, without added colour or chill filtration, and at natural cask strength.
Mannochmore 16 Year Old Chorlton Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Heaps of syrupy sherried fruit, leathery oak, dark cherry chocolate, and waves of tar.
Palate: Creamy layers of praline, juicy sultanas, candied orange and sticky ginger cake.
Finish: A touch of anise joins for the finish alongside dark, jammy fruit and sweet, honeyed cake.
Distillery Information
The distillery was founded in 1971 by John Haig & Co. Between 1985 and 1989, production was suspended and the distillery closed; it was then reopened and in 1992 started producing a Mannochmore single malt.
