Serves up a delightful mix of ripe dark fruits, with blackberry, black cherry and plum flavors that are supple and polished, with mineral, graphite and cedary oak showing on the finish. The tannins add traction to the flavors.

• Wine Advocate: A dramatic improvement over its 2006 counterpart, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Single Vineyard offers a dense purple color as well as gorgeous aromas of camphor, black currants, plums, Asian spice and tobacco leaf. There is terrific fruit on the attack, mid-palate and finish. Some tannins are present, but they are sweet and well-integrated as is the wood element. This full-bodied 2007 should drink well for 15 or more years.

• Wine Enthusiast: A terrific Cabernet you want to cellar for a good 5-6 years, at the very least, and could go far longer. Shows what Yountville can do in a good year. The wine is very dry and more minerally than further north, yet is extraordinarily rich in blackberries, chocolate-covered cherries and cassis, with a perfumed scent of violets.
