Full-bodied, rich and decadent in the mouth, it reveals layers of red and black fruits with loads of earth and savory nuances, framed by firm, finely grained tannins and plenty of vivacity, finishing long and spicy. Totally tempting to drink this right now but you will be rewarded handsomely if you wait 3-5 years and drink it over the next 20+.

Based in the venerated Napa Valley, Carter Cellars is a wine producer that makes classic California varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot sourced from some of the best vineyards in Northern California. From the To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville to the Truchard Vineyards in Carneros, Owner Mark Carter has made sure to obtain fruit from impressive terroirs throughout the Napa Valley. The label was founded by Mark and celebrated winemaker Nils Venge, who went on to begin Envy Wines in Calistoga in 2006. The pair now makes both wine brands in their Calistoga location, while continuing to source grapes from different, remarkable plots all through the valley.
