Intense ruby red with violet reflections. Wonderfully refined expression of Aglianico, with beguilingly complex notes of rich black fruits, smoked Mediterranean herbs, anise, tobacco and tar.Soft with spicy notes and a fresh and persistent finish that recalls the scent perceived by smell.

Joaquin winery, located in Montefalcione, home to the two DOCG wines, Fiano di Avellino and Aglianico Taurasi, was founded on a mission: to become the flag bearer for one of the great wines of Campania, the Fiano, starting from a meticulous study and selection of antique, pre-phylloxera vineyards in the area of Lapio and Montefalcione, known as the habitat of origin of this variety. In fact, Joaquin has worked tirelessly to reach an expression of Fiano which is the quintessence of the terroir of Lapio, with a purebred typicity which can be found in no other Fiano wine from the area. This winemaking model has subsequently been applied to other varieties as well, creating a unique production philosophy which characterizes Joaquin. Their motto is “a new vintage, a new project,” and in fact only the wines which excel in a given vintage are produced. Joaquin also crafts wines on the beautiful island of Capri. Here they perform what the producer likes to call “triage viticulture:” the recovery of indigenous varieties and the restoration of small, local vineyards.
