        Producer Information

Maybach Family Vineyards is a boutique California wine producer, producing wine from vineyards of Napa and Sonoma. The Maybach family is best known for its engineering feats, which include creating the first motorcycle, developing the first high-speed diesel engine, and building the first Mercedes car. In 2004 the family branched into winegrowing, specialising in small-production cult wines made from Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. There are four wines in Maybach's portfolio from four separate vineyards. The Eterium Chardonnay and Irmgard Pinot Noir are sourced from vineyards on the Sonoma Coast, while the two Cabernet Sauvignon wines, Amoenus and Materium, come from vineyards in Calistoga and Oakville respectively. The Materium serves as Maybach's flagship wine and comes from a vineyard 1000 feet (305 meters) above the valley floor. Maybach Family Vineyard's wines are sold via mailing list and at top restaurants, primarily in California and New York.
