Schäfer-Fröhlich is best known for its Grosses Gewächs wines from top sites, as well as its noble sweet wines. The estate covers 19 hectares (47 acres) of vineyards, including land in the Bockenauer Felseneck, Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg and Monzinger Halenberg vineyards. These are planted primarily to Riesling, as well as some Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Müller-Thurgau. The wines are spontaneously fermented using indigenous yeasts, in a mix of stainless steel and oak.
