        Reviews:

        • Wine Enthusiast: This wine's aromas are captivating. The nose is a true sensory experience, with notes of wild berries mixed with hints of herbs, bell peppers and forest floor. The palate continues with a mix of blueberries, strawberries, subtle dried herbal notes, savory spices and fine tannins. The palate vibrates with the right amount of acidity to keep it all together on the finish.
        • James Suckling: A vibrant and primary nose of strawberries, red cherries, geraniums and herbs. Very crunchy, fresh and juicy with a laid-back feel to the medium-bodied palate. Smooth and bright.

          Producer Information

Allegrini is an Italian family business based in the Valpolicella Classico zone of the Veneto. It is widely regarded as one of the leading producers not only in the region but in Italy as a whole, and is particularly known for its Amarone della Valpolicella Classico. The family has been in the region since the 16th Century, and has been involved in winegrowing for much of that time. However, the business as it is known today was founded in the mid-20th Century by Giovanni Allegrini, who began to build the estate's reputation for fine wines in the 1960s and 70s. Today, all of Allegrini's wines are made from estate-grown fruit from 90 hectares (222 acres) of vineyard in the communes of Sant'Ambrogio and Fumane, where the southeast-facing slopes and chalk soils are well-suited to winegrowing.
