        Producer Information

Luc Massy (Clos du Boux) is a highly-regarded wine producer in the picturesque and much-prized Epesses and Dézaley grand cru vineyard area on the northern shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) in Lavaux, in the Swiss cantonal wine region of Vaud. The estate produces a range of red and white wines from both crus as well as wines from vineyards in neighboring Saint-Saphorin, also in the Lavaux. The estate was founded at the close of the 19th Century by Albert Massy, who planted the family's first vines in the region. Along with the vines, the estate encompasses both the winery building in Epesses and, overlooking it, the historic 17th Century manor house, the Clos du Boux. The listed building is surrounded by nearly two hectares (five acres) of Grand Cru vineyard – the only clos Grand Cru vineyard in Epesses. The Chasselas vines planted here are situated on clay-rich south-facing slopes overlooking Lake Geneva. The Massy wine range covers the Grand Cru Epesses and Dézaley labels as well as Lavaux wines (generally labeled with their commune: Dézaley, Epesses and Saint-Saphorin). These are made from red wine grape varieties like Pinot Noir and Gamay, as well as white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and the country's flagship grape, Chasselas. These wines are made and aged in the Massy cellar directly below the Clos de Boux. The estate is currently run by fourth generation Massy brothers, Gregory and Benjamin.
