Detailed Description

Glenfarclas 2011 is a NAS Single Malt whisky from Scotland. Bottled in 21.07.2021 at 59.8% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Scotland Single Malt whisky lover. Please note that this Distillery Bottling is Sherry Hogshead. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, cask strength, single cask whisky edition of Glenfarclas. This is one of only 304 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.

Glenfarclas 2011 The Family Casks 10 Years Old Tasting Notes

Nose: Complex nose of dried fruits, prunes and figs. Nuts. A lot of wood, fir tree sap, caramel. Powerful on alcohol.

Palate: Intense, thick palate. The alcohol is there. A taste of cereal biscuit, chocolate, malty and caramelized. Prune and fig syrup.

Finish: Very long finish on wood, caramel butter, oily grass, thick and slightly minty.

Distillery Information

Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland. Glenfarclas translates as meaning valley of the green grass. The distillery is owned and run by the Grant family. The distillery has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners.
The distillery has a production capacity of around 4 million litres of spirit per year. Normally four stills are used for production with two kept in reserve.
The distillery has approximately 68,000 casks maturing on site, in traditional dunnage warehouses, with stock from every year from 1953 to the current year. Glenfarclas produce a traditional Highland malt with a heavy sherry influence.
