Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Maltman's Special Reserve Scotch Whisky

The limited edition from the 1980s presented here is dedicated to the employees of the malt house, but the presentation refers to the aforementioned distillation apparatus. Distilled from locally malted barley (the brewery closed in 1980), the whiskey was aged for at least 18 years in slow-growing oak barrels in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missouri. The ceramic decanters are the work of Crown Staffordshire masters and 4,233 of them have been made.

Nose: Delightful aroma.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
