Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve Irish Whiskey is a truly exceptional blend of whiskeys a combination of grain and port-pipe pot still whiskeys, it includes specimens that have been aged in port casks, as well as whiskeys that may exceed 20 years in age.
Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve Irish Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: A real full-bodied aroma. Initially sweet with ripe fruit notes of melon, bananas, and dark fleshy plums. The unmistakable pot still spicy character combines to give hints of treacle, cinnamon, and licorice.
Palate: Mellow sweetness and toasted wood are complemented by fruit richness, characteristic of the port casks. A touch of creamy dairy fudge and dark chocolate adds to the complexity.
Finish: A tantalizingly long finish that covers the spectrum from the sweetness of fruit, through the spices, to the unmistakable note of the barley where it all began.
Distillery Information
This beautiful creation has an aroma of fruit, ripe berries and banana nut bread, which leads to a silky palate filled with flavors of toasted wood, port, rich fudge and tangerines. The finish, slightly sweet, has hints of vanilla, cake icing, maple syrup and nutmeg.
