This well-aged single malt from Laprhoaig joins The Octave collection from Duncan Taylor, having finished its 17-year maturation in one of its tiny octave casks. Distilled in 2004, a total of 85 bottles were released in 2022.

Nose: Delicate and impressive depth on the nose.

Palate: A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture.

Distillery Information

The Laphroaig distillery was established in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston. The Johnstons who founded Laphroaig were from the Clan Donald and are likely to be from the MacIain of Ardnamurchan branch of the clan. The family anglicised their name to Johnston.
