Maker's Mark 2018 Holiday Edition Bourbon Whiskey

Maker’s Mark has come a long way since their introduction in 1958 with their iconic red wax seal now a constant fixture of bars and neighborhood liquor stores. By using wheat instead of rye in their mash bill, they have created a sweet and spicy character for their bourbon that made them such a hit with novice drinkers and bourbon veterans alike. As part of the holidays, the brand has released not one but two seasonal expressions both of which you can enjoy with our Maker's Mark 2018 Holiday Label Bourbon Whiskey combo. First is their classic holiday expression that received a second dipping of green wax over the top of their iconic red wax seal for a truly Christmasy feel and the second is their Kentucky-exclusive gold and red label release featuring the brand’s logo to spell word "JOY". Made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 16% red winter wheat, and 14% malted barley, the bourbon are aged for 6 years inside new, charred American oak casks to create their distinctive flavor profile.

Nose: Initial sweetness – caramel, brown sugar – gives way to soft fruity notes and vanilla.

Palate: Notes of brown sugar, vanilla, dried fruits, cinnamon, honey, butterscotch, and toasty oak.

Finish: Initially light but sweet spice builds over time.
