This dark rum from New Grove was aged 7 years in oak barrel and 1 year in Moscatel barrels to create a deeply rich, unctuous and delicious rum.

Nose: On the nose, it is greedy and complex. Baked caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, pepper and apple share the top spot, followed closely by walnut and liquorice.

Palate: Notes of honey, liquorice and wood dominate. A vegetal impression is also present, while a spicy sensation heats up the mouth a little.

Finish: The finish is long and relatively pleasant in its simplicity. Indeed, the two main actors here are vanilla and wood. Pepper and nuts are more in the background.
