Deep ruby red tending towards garnet. The nose is rich and complex with aromas of sour cherries, blackberries, tobacco and candied fruits. The palate is rich and intense with similar fruit characters, fine tannins and exceptional length.

      Producer Information

In the heart of the historic area of the classic Valpolicella, in the municipality of Marano di Valpolicella, is the Ca' La Bionda farm. Founded in 1902 by Pietro Castellani, who always had a great passion for the cultivation of his vineyards and the vinification of the grapes, the company covers an area of 29 hectares in the hills, on clayey soil at an altitude between 150 and 300 meters, with exposure to the South-East, a favorable position for the ripening of the grapes. The quality of its wines is the result of a family tradition in which passion and sacrifices have gone hand in hand. For over four generations, the winemakers and vintners of the company have dedicated themselves to the processes of cultivation, harvesting, vinification and marketing of Ca' la Bionda products, paying particular attention to the natural drying phases of the grapes destined for great wines: Recioto andAmarone and subsequent aging in special oak barrels. In the vineyard of Piero Castellani, namesake of the founder and current owner, no herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used, and the dry stone walls have been restored to create terraces conducive to a good ripening of the grapes for the creation of the fine Veneto red wines . Name and address of the manufacturer/distributor: Ca' la Bionda - Via Bionda, 4, 37020 Marano di Valpolicella VR. The products of this cellar must be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
